People Have Birthdays, But Did you Ever Think Restaurants May too?
Banging, cheering, singing. The cacophony of noises paralleled the equally active atmosphere of the restaurant. Legal Remedy Brewing Company in Rock Hill, South Carolina celebrated its third year of distributing to the public on Saturday, Aug. 26 at its annual “Beerthday” celebration. This exclusive 21-and-up event featured a line up of musical guests such as The Eyebrows, The Long Canes and Motel Glory wrapping up the evening.
The venue gave out signature beer glasses for the event, which customers could get filled with a drink ticket proffered from numerous drink trucks, and then kick back in an adirondack chair or picnic bench and listen to the excitement in the air.
“We’ve been here in Rock Hill at this location for 2 years but we have been distributing in the Rock Hill/Fort Mill area for over three years,” said Cassie Mcgowan, one of the owners of Legal. “And now of course we distribute all over South Carolina and into North Carolina.”
Mcgowan works with the marketing and graphics department of Legal, but she offers to help out wherever she can. Her main goal is to make sure everyone is having fun while staying engaged.
This isn’t the first event of its kind that Legal has hosted. In months past the eatery has had an April Fool’s celebration and has hosted a slew of rock bands and musical guests to perform in the evenings throughout the summer.
“I’ve been here many times, I’ve been here during music events and bands, but nothing like this.” said John Hembree, a customer at Legal Remedy Brewing. “This is an event they put on once in awhile.”
A special menu was constructed for the event, and still included several signature items from the regular menu such as the Mandatory Chicken Sandwich and their legendary potato chips.
The company tries to cater to their customers, and tries to appeal to their diverse audience. “Legal Remedy Beer is really special because we realize everyone has different tastes. We just have a huge variety and always trying to innovate and trying to have fun with it,” Mcgowan said.
The atmosphere definitely parallels the establishments personality, with corn hole boards and other outdoor games set up, and water bowls placed around in anticipation of pets. Legal is an inclusive paradise for the days you can’t make it home right away.
